The Los Alamitos "Main Event" freshmen HS Basketball tournament just concluded and the San Juan Hills Boy's Basketball team exceeded everyone's expectations (except maybe their own!) with their performance in the tournament.

As outlined in the attached article, this tournament included well known basketball powerhouse schools from across the Southland. In fact, 8 of the Top 25 schools in the LA Times preseason poll for the Southland had their freshman teams in this tournament. The tournament included teams from Mater Dei, Bishop-Montgomery, Los Alamitos, Long Beach Poly, Harvard-Westlake, Loyola.

San Juan Hills High School went 3-0 to qualify for the finals of this prestigious tournament, before falling in the finals. This was the inaugural tournamen in the inaugural season of this brand-new basketball program under coach Brian Carmer!!

Everyone is very excited in anticipation of the upcoming season.
